It’s a solid game for dedicated Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. Repeat until you’re the best in the school. The standard game flow constantly has you battling, earning Duelist Points (DP), spending DP for cards, upgrading your deck, then beating even stronger opponents with your improved deck.

Like other early Yu-Gi-Oh! games, Duel Academy focuses on…dueling. Your goal is to become the King of Games by besting all the other duelists on the island! In the first Yu-Gi-Oh! GX game ever released, you are a rookie duelist that has just enrolled in the Duel Academy. A fun game if you played back then but also maybe a dated entry nowadays. The game mainly has you face one duelist after another until you’ve mastered all the duelist Tiers, so you duel fanatics will get your fill. There’s not much to rave about in the story though.

The first appearance of the little plastic 'Army Men' on the PS2 is the sequel to arguably the best game of the series. Only played 2, and it's port is also kind of weird. MGS1 only has three resolutions and invisibility effects make the game chug, and it has a really odd-looking pause menu that's annoying to navigate.

MGS1 has a PC port as well and both games are terrible on PC with incredibly bad porting jobs.
